Product Info and Care

How do I care for my jewelry?

If the metal on your jewelry looks dark or tarnished, you can easily shine it with any soft metal polish. We recommend Sunshine Polishing cloths, which can be found online (Sunshine® Polishing Cloths - www.SunshinePolishingCloth.com). For the resin part of the jewelry, fingerprints and oils may transfer onto the resin. We recommend using a microfiber cloth to clean it safely without scratching the resin.

While our resin jewelry is water-resistant, it's always advisable to avoid exposing it to water as much as possible. On the other hand, it's important to note that our wooden jewelry is not water-resistant and should not be exposed to water. Additionally, the metal components are not waterproof and may tarnish when exposed to water, so it's recommended to polish them after wearing them around water.

How do I care for my decor product?

Here are some tips to keep your beautiful botanical art piece looking its best:

We know you want to show off your sun catcher in the best light, but it's best to avoid hanging it in a window that receives full, hot sun all day long. A few hours of direct sun is okay, especially in the morning or late afternoon. We want to make sure those colors stay vibrant for years to come! To avoid colors fading due to heat from the window, we recommend leaving some space (at least a few inches) between the sun catcher and the windowpane.

If your art piece is made with brass, it may tarnish over time as it's exposed to moisture in the air. Don't worry, though - it's an easy fix! Simply polish it back to a brilliant luster with any soft metal polish. We recommend Sunshine polishing cloths, which you can find here: Sunshine® Polishing Cloths - www.SunshinePolishingCloth.com

To keep the resin surface of your art piece shiny and clean, gently wipe it with a microfiber cloth to remove any dust or fingerprints. It's just like taking care of a beloved piece of jewelry!

Our coasters work best with cold drinks! Hot cups can leave a ring on the surface of the resin, and we don't want that!

Oh, and one more thing - never, ever use a resin tray as an ashtray!! The resin can melt if it comes in contact with intense heat. Let's keep those trays beautiful and ash-free.

Are these made with real plants?

Yes! All the plants used in our pieces are real, hand collected, and dried before being embedded in the resin. Gathering and pressing flowers and leaves is a huge part of our artistic process!

In addition to all of the botanicals being real, any other organic elements such as insect wings, snakeskin, feathers, etc. are all real and always ethically sourced!

What kind of resin do you use?

We use a high-quality, 2-part USDA-certified biobased epoxy. This eco-friendly resin is one of the most sustainable options available, reducing our environmental impact throughout its life cycle. Additionally, our resin is non-yellowing and UV-stabilized, ensuring it remains crystal clear over time. With this commitment to sustainability, you can trust that our products are beautiful and conscious of their impact on the environment.

Is your jewelry hypoallergenic?

We use only high-quality lead-free 14k gold fill or sterling silver for all ear wires/posts and chains. These materials are gentle and safe for people with sensitive skin.

Although we use brass for the gold-toned bezels, the domed resin surface creates a buffer between the metal and skin, providing ample space to avoid any potential irritation.
